KROKUS Take Time Off To Write New Material
March 31, 2004After successful concerts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria this winter, veteran Swiss hard rockers KROKUS will take a few weeks off to write new material for their next studio production. This summer the band will play some summer festivals, including the Rock Hard Festival on May 29-30 at Amphitheater in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
As previously reported, KROKUS' most recent studio album, "Rock the Block", is scheduled to receive its long-overdue U.S. release on June 1 through Reality Entertainment. A U.S. "comeback" tour is expected to follow in August.
"Rock The Block", debuted at No. 1 on the Swiss Album chart upon its release in January 2003 and has since achieved platinum status in the band's home country. The CD, which was recorded at Soundlake Studio in Lausanne, Switzerland, is the group's first since being rejoined by singer Marc Storace and guitarist Fernando von Arb.
